Tim Clift, Chief Investment Strategist

Mr. Clift serves as Chief Investment Strategist at Envestnet | PMC and is responsible for research and consulting services for the organization. He leads a team of analysts who are responsible for the selection and monitoring of investment managers and a team of consultants who support institutional and advisory clients. Mr. Clift serves on PMC’s Investment Committee and is instrumental in setting investment policy for the Company.

Prior to joining Envestnet | PMC, Mr. Clift was the Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of the Investment Committee at FundQuest. He joined FundQuest in 1994 and maintained overall responsibility for the firm’s investment management programs for separately managed accounts, mutual funds, alternative investments, exchange-traded funds, and annuities. As Chairman of the Investment Committee, he led a team of analysts and portfolio managers that produced the firm's research and recommendations.

Mr. Clift possesses over 24 years of industry and investment management experience. He received an MBA in Finance from Boston University and a BA in Economics from Allegheny College.

Nathan Behan, CFA, CAIA, Senior Vice President, Investment Research

Mr. Behan is a Senior Vice President in Investment Research for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, he conducts quantitative and statistical analyses to support all aspects of separate account and mutual fund manager research for Taxable and Municipal Fixed Income Investments. Mr. Behan joined the Envestnet team in April 2012 when Prima Capital was acquired by Envestnet.

Prior to joining Prima Capital in 2002, Mr. Behan served as a Senior Investment Analyst at Portfolio Management Consultants (PMC) in Denver, Colorado. At his departure, PMC oversaw over $5 billion in managed separate account and mutual fund wrap assets. During his time at PMC, Mr. Behan performed all quantitative and qualitative aspects of manager searches and due diligence across the major asset classes. In addition to his investment responsibilities, Mr. Behan was responsible for directing the overall research and due diligence effort as well as constructing the business plan for the firm’s introduction of two alternative investment products.

Prior to joining PMC, he worked for the Carmel Companies, a multi-family housing concern in Denver. While there, he was responsible for an investment portfolio of traditional and alternative investments in excess of $200 million, as well as administration of the firm’s 401(k) plan. Mr. Behan joined the Carmel Companies after more than three years as an analyst with Merrill Lynch’s financial planning department.

Mr. Behan holds a BS degree in Finance from the University of Montana and an MS in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University. He has earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and has been a member of the Denver Society of Securities Analysts since 1999. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.

Brooks Friederich, Director, Fund Strategist Portfolios

Mr. Friederich serves as Director, Fund Strategist Portfolios, at Envestnet | PMC and is responsible for leading the firms efforts on Envestnet’s Fund Strategist Portfolio (FSP) research and due diligence.

In addition to his leadership roles on FSPs at the firm, he provides research and analytical support to Envestnet | PMC’s consulting and portfolio management groups. Mr. Friederich has been a member of Envestnet | PMC’s research group since 2008, having historically performed manager research and due diligence on separate accounts, mutual funds, and ETFs across a multitude of traditional asset classes.

Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Mr. Friederich was with Pitney Bowes, Inc., where he served as the Senior Analyst on the firm’s multi‐billion dollar domestic and international pension investment portfolios. He holds a BS degree in Finance from the University of South Dakota, a MS in Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver, and is a member of Envestnet’s Business Partner Acceptance Committee.

Ken Shaw, CFA, Senior Vice President, Senior Investment Analyst, Investment Research

Mr. Shaw serves as a Senior Vice President for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, he conducts research and due diligence on asset managers and manages the equity research team.  Areas of coverage include equities and alternative investment strategies. Mr. Shaw joined the Envestnet team in April 2012 when Prima Capital was acquired by Envestnet.

Prior to joining Prima Capital in 2011, Mr. Shaw served as a Vice President and Risk Manager at Rock Creek Group, a multi-billion dollar fund of hedge funds managing assets for the largest institutional investors in the world. Prior to joining Rock Creek Group, Mr. Shaw worked at RiskMetrics Group, a risk analytics firm located in New York where he advised hedge funds on risk management. Prior to joining RiskMetrics Group, Mr. Shaw worked at PlusFunds, a multi-billion dollar fund of hedge funds located in New York.

Mr. Shaw holds a BA degree in History from Colby College and an MBA from the University of Texas – Austin. In addition, Mr. Shaw has earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Colorado.

Frank Wei, CFA, CAIA, Vice President, Senior Investment Analyst

Mr. Wei is a Senior Investment Analyst on Envestnet | PMC’s Research team. Prior to joining PMC, Mr. Wei served as a portfolio manager and analyst at FundQuest and was responsible for the oversight of separately managed accounts, as well as the management of client assets. Before joining FundQuest in 2001, he held positions at Salomon Smith Barney and ABN AMRO Securities as a Research Analyst and Equity Analyst, respectively.

Mr. Wei has over 10 years of industry and investment management experience. He holds a BA in Economics from East China Normal University and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. He has earned the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Cynthia Crandall, CAIA, Vice President, Senior Investment Analyst

Ms. Crandall is a Senior Investment Analyst on Envestnet | PMC’s Research team. Ms. Crandall is responsible for the due diligence of liquid alternative strategies on the fund’s platform. The Research team works together to conduct manager searches and provide updated reviews and materials for consulting, portfolio management, and external clients.

Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Ms. Crandall led a team of hedge fund analysts for Cambridge Associates, where she spent the prior seven years conducting performance and manager reviews on the consulting company’s robust roster of hedge fund managers.

Ms. Crandall holds a BS degree in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Finance and Organizational Behavior from Boston University. She has earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.

Ling-Wei Hew, CFA, AVP, Senior Investment Analyst

Ling-Wei Hew is a Senior Investment Analyst for Envestnet | PMC. She is responsible for conducting research and due diligence on strategist managers on the firm’s platform.

Prior to joining Envestnet | PMC, Ms. Hew spearheaded the research on ETF managed portfolio strategies at Morningstar Inc. In this role, she was responsible for educating key industry players on best practice standards and industry trends through the publication of white papers, landscape reports, and firm and strategy due diligence.

Ms. Hew holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wellesley College and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.

David Hawal, CFA, VP, Senior Investment Analyst

Mr. Hawal is a Senior Investment Analyst for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, he conducts research and due diligence on fixed income separate account, mutual fund, and ETF investment managers using qualitative and quantitative evaluation techniques.  Mr. Hawal also serves as co-head of fixed income research for Envestnet | PMC and is responsible for the leadership, organizational, and administrative functions of the fixed income research team.

Prior to transitioning to his current position, Mr. Hawal was a Senior Portfolio Specialist at Envestnet where he managed trading responsibilities for client mutual fund wraps, separate accounts, and fund strategist portfolios. Additionally, he was responsible for assisting in team management and mentoring junior members of the department. Before joining Envestnet in 2009, he worked as a broker at Charles Schwab, beginning in 2007, where he primarily focused on equity and mutual fund trading and was also recognized for his performance as a resolution manager on the client advocacy team.

Mr. Hawal received a BBA degree in International Business and Spanish from Loyola University Maryland, as well as an MBA from John Carroll University. Additionally, Mr. Hawal holds the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He previously held the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Edwin Zablan, Senior Investment Analyst

Edwin Zablan is a Senior Investment Analyst at Envestnet|PMC and has over 15 years of manager research and due diligence experience. He is responsible for reviewing and conducting due diligence on fixed income products and liquid alternatives.

Prior to joining Envestnet in 2015, Mr. Zablan was the Director of Manager Research at Watershed Investment Consultants Inc., an independent institutional consultant with over $4 billion in assets under advisement that caters to foundation/endowments, public pension plans and healthcare plans. At Watershed, Mr. Zablan led the Traditional Asset Class team where he designed and implemented new research due diligence initiatives, and chaired the monthly investment committee research meetings. He was also responsible for client education and took part of new business opportunities. Mr. Zablan has appeared on several panels speaking to the institutional industry conferences including Mountain States Institutional Investor Forum, AIMSE, and Institutional Investor Roundtable. 

Prior to joining Watershed, Mr. Zablan worked at Rogers Casey in Darien, CT as a Research Analyst on fixed income and international equities. He was also a member of Rogers Casey’s Manager Evaluation Committee which was responsible for evaluating and rating investment strategies.

Mr. Zablan received a BS in Finance and Accounting at Aurora University.

Greg Richards, CFA, CFP®, AVP, Senior Investment Analyst

Mr. Richards is a Senior Investment Analyst for Envestnet | PMC.  In this role, he is responsible for conducting research and due diligence on strategist managers on the firm’s platform.

Prior to joining Envestnet | PMC, Mr. Richards served as an investment analyst for an independent RIA.  In this role, he acted as chair of the firm’s Investment Committee.  Mr. Richards was responsible for portfolio construction, manager due diligence, and trading.  Additionally, he regularly contributed economic commentary to the company website and client communications as well as prepared and delivered presentations to clients on investment and economic topics of interest.

Mr. Richards has over 12 years of industry and investment management experience. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Kansas and an MBA from the University of Kansas.  Mr. Richards has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Certified Financial Planner™.

Michael Gebhardt, AVP, Investment Analyst

Michael Gebhardt is an Investment Analyst, AVP for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, he conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses on mutual fund and separate account managers in the U.S. Mid Cap, SMid Cap, and Small Cap asset classes.

Prior to joining Envestnet in 2014, Mr. Gebhardt worked as a Research Associate for Kummer Financial Strategies, a Colorado based Registered Investment Advisor specializing in financial planning. In this capacity, he supported the team in performing mutual fund and ETF manager due diligence for the firm’s managed client accounts totaling approximately $160 million. He also sat on the Investment Committee, assisting the President, Planners, and Investment Analyst in asset allocation recommendations and decisions.

Mr. Gebhardt holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder and earned an MBA with a concentration in Global Finance from the University of Denver. He is a CFA level III candidate.

Stephanie Hagglund, AVP, Investment Analyst

Stephanie Hagglund

Ms. Hagglund is an Investment Analyst, AVP for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, she conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses on mutual fund and separate account managers in domestic Mid Cap equity strategies and the REIT asset class.

Ms. Hagglund has over a decade of industry experience, previously working as an Index Specialist at MSCI, a Capital Markets Analyst at Thomson Reuters, and a Broker’s Clerk in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Equity Index Derivatives Pit at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange while pursuing her MBA.

Ms. Hagglund holds a BA in International Studies cum laude from Baylor University, as well as an MBA in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago. 

Michael Pajak, CAIA, Investment Analyst

Michael Pajak is an Investment Analyst for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, he is responsible for conducting research and due diligence on strategist managers on the firm’s platform.

Mr. Pajak has a diverse background and over a decade of financial services industry experience. He served as an Investment Consultant and Account Manager in his most recent positions at Merrill Edge and Aston Asset Management, respectively. Prior to these roles, he worked as an Investment Management Analyst at Raymond James for the Abuls, Bone & Eller Group. Mr. Pajak was responsible for managing portfolio construction, manager due diligence, macroeconomic analysis, and trading for proprietary model portfolios that had in excess of $500 million in assets under management.

Mr. Pajak started his career at Morningstar where he worked in a variety of roles for over six years.  He was the team leader for the mutual fund data analysts, where he led the team in the collection, quality assurance, and calculation of mutual fund statistics used in Morningstar’s products as well as other third party websites. Mr. Pajak also spent time as a Project Manager where he worked on major database initiatives which included developing a data error tracking system, improving the production process and the overall data quality.  

Mr. Pajak holds a BS degree with dual majors, Finance and Business Administration, from DePaul University in Chicago, IL.  He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.  Mr. Pajak previously held the FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.      

Eric Halverson, Investment Analyst

Eric Halverson

Eric Halverson is an Investment Analyst for Envestnet|PMC. Within this role, he directly supports the senior analysts in conducting qualitative and quantitative due diligence on equity separate account and mutual fund investment managers.

Prior to transitioning to his current position, Mr. Halverson was a Senior Portfolio Specialist at Envestnet where he worked with broker-dealers and investment advisors to implement client portfolio strategies, while also supporting department management in trade-related inquiries.

Mr. Halverson holds a BBA degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and a Master’s in Science of Finance degree with a specialization in Financial Analysis and Management from the University of Colorado at Denver. He is pursuing the CFA Charter, having passed Level II in June 2016.

Daniel Homan, CFA, Investment Analyst

Daniel Homan is an Investment Analyst for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, he conducts quantitative and qualitative research, due diligence and analysis on mutual fund and separate account managers. He covers both International and Emerging Market Equity managers.
Mr. Homan joined the Envestnet | PMC team in March of 2016.

Prior to joining the Envestnet | PMC team in the Denver office, Mr. Homan was an Associate Vice President for two years with Callan Associates, an industry-leading institutional consulting firm. At Callan, Dan provided analytical support to senior consultants in a variety of areas including investment manager research and monitoring, strategic planning, performance measurement, business development and other special projects. Before working with Callan, Mr. Homan was a Senior Analyst with Monticello Associates, an institutional investment consultant, for seven years in the performance department where he produced reports for clients.

Mr. Homan earned his BS with dual majors, Finance and Marketing, from Iowa State University.  He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver with specializations in Investment Management and Financial Statement Analysis.  Mr. Homan has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Colorado.

Michael Wedekind, Investment Analyst

Michael Wedekind is an Investment Analyst for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, he conducts quantitative and qualitative research, due diligence, and analysis on fixed income and commodity mutual fund and separate account managers. Mr. Wedekind joined the firm as an Associate Investment Analyst in February 2015.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Wedekind held an internship at Shelter Insurance Companies where he researched, analyzed, and made recommendations on a portfolio of corporate, municipal, and mortgage-backed securities valued at over $3 billion. He also assisted in the evaluation of potential security purchases and trade execution.

A graduate of the University of Missouri, Mr. Wedekind holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, as well as Bachelor of Arts degrees in Russian Language and Studies and International Studies. He is also pursuing the CFA Charter, having passed Level I in 2014.

Michael P. Manning, CFA, Investment Analyst

Mr. Manning serves as an Investment Analyst for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, he conducts research and due diligence on separate account, mutual fund, and ETF investment managers using qualitative and quantitative evaluation techniques. He covers all Large Cap equity strategies. In addition, he is responsible for developing an analytical framework for assessing the statistical profile of managers on the Envestnet | PMC platform. Mr. Manning joined the Envestnet | PMC research team in September of 2015.

Prior to joining Envestnet | PMC in Denver, Mr. Manning served in both relationship management and portfolio administration roles for six years at GW&K Investment Management in Boston. At GW&K, he was responsible for managing a broad range of fixed income and equity portfolios for institutional, RIA, and private clients. Before GW&K, Mr. Manning was a Senior Loan Specialist at State Street Bank & Trust (formerly Investors Bank & Trust) where he analyzed the daily cash flow and accounting for several large mutual funds.

Mr. Manning earned a BA in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross and a Masters of Science in Finance from Brandeis University’s International Business School. Mr. Manning also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and he is a member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society Boston and CFA Society Colorado.

Monica Sengelmann, CFA, Investment Analyst

Monica Sengelmann serves as an Investment Analyst for Envestnet | PMC. In this role, she conducts quantitative and qualitative research, analysis, and due diligence on equity mutual fund and separate account managers. Mrs. Sengelmann joined the Envestnet | PMC research team in February of 2017.

Prior to joining the team in Denver, Mrs. Sengelmann was an Associate Vice President for two years with Callan Associates, an institutional consulting firm. At Callan, Monica conducted investment manager research and monitoring, strategic planning and implementation, and other special projects. Before working at Callan, Mrs. Sengelmann was an Institutional Equity Portfolio Administrator at Denver Investments.

Rachel Mandeix, Associate Investment Analyst

Rachel Mandeix is an Associate Investment Analyst on Envestnet | PMC’s research team. Ms. Mandeix supports a team of senior analysts conducting research and due diligence on the Fund Strategist Portfolios.

Prior to joining Envestnet in 2014, Ms. Mandeix worked as Client Services Administrator at the Raskin Planning Group, an affiliate of Lincoln Financial Advisors. She also previously served as Marketing Coordinator at FundQuest Incorporated, prior to its acquisition by Envestnet. Mandeix holds a BA in Economics and Psychology from St. Lawrence University.

Ryan Knisely , Associate Investment Analyst

Mr. Knisely joined Envestnet | PMC as an Associate Investment Analyst in June of 2016. In this role, he directly supports the senior analysts in conducting qualitative and quantitative due diligence on fixed-income separate accounts and mutual funds.

Prior to joining Envestnet, Mr. Knisely worked in a variety of roles at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for just under 9 years.  Past roles include trading specialist where he focused on equity and mutual fund trading for 2 years as well as a 5 year role in Partner Support, providing dedicated operational and research support for Schwab Financial Consultants and their high net worth in practice clients. Additionally, he served in a compliance role in the Anti Money Laundering and Fraud Investigations Department identifying and assessing risk.

Mr. Knisely holds a BS in Business Administration and Biochemistry from University of Colorado - Boulder. He previously held the  FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Michael Featherman, CFA, Managing Director, Head of Investment Specialists

Michael Featherman

Mr. Featherman serves as the team leader for the PMC Advisor Facing Consulting Group and functions as the Key Account Liaison for the PMC Product Suite to Enterprise Clients. Additionally, Mr. Featherman serves as the Head of Investment Specialists and is responsible for consulting with financial advisors on asset allocation and investment manager selection for client portfolios. He offers investment insight as a liaison for the PMC Investment Research team and investment guidance to advisors to help them determine the appropriate portfolio strategies for their clients.

Prior to joining Envestnet | PMC in 2007, Mr. Featherman worked at Haverford Financial Services beginning in 2002, where his responsibilities included portfolio management, client relationship management, wholesaling to financial intermediaries, and equity and fixed income trading. He began his career in the financial services industry as a financial advisor for UBS Financial Services.

Mr. Featherman holds a BS degree in Biology with a minor in Economics from Bowdoin College. He holds the Series 7 securities registration and 65 advisor registration and is a CFA charterholder.

Erik Preus, CFA, Managing Director, Envestnet | PMC

Erik Prues

In his role, Erik Preus heads up a new Business Consulting initiative designed to bring Envestnet | PMC's institutional research, due diligence, investment solutions and consulting expertise to our clients to empower their financial advisors to enhance client outcomes. Mr. Preus joined PMC in 2014 via Envestnet’s acquisition of Placemark Investments, where he was head of enterprise sales and business development.

Mr. Preus has 24 years of experience in the investment services industry, with considerable time spent in both investment management and investment consulting firms. Prior to joining Placemark, Mr. Preus was President of the RBC Funds and Head of Strategic Relationships for RBC Global Asset Management. While at RBC, Mr. Preus also served as Director of Investment Consulting Services within RBC’s U.S. Wealth Management business. Prior to RBC, he held management and business development positions with Nicholas|Applegate, Delaware Investments, Jeffrey Slocum & Associates, and SEI Capital Resources.

Mr. Preus earned his Bachelor’s degree from the United States Air Force Academy, and he holds an MBA from the University of Dayton and an MA from the University of Hawaii. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Todd Rais, CAIA, Vice President, Senior Institutional Consultant

Mr. Rais serves as a Senior Institutional Consultant for Envestnet | PMC. Within this role, Mr. Rais and the Institutional Consulting team act as relationship support to Envestnet | PMC’s enterprise clients and assist with the creation of custom wealth management solutions. Mr. Rais also spends a portion of his time on product management and client servicing related to Envestnet | PMC’s Premium Research offering. Mr. Rais joined the Envestnet team in April 2012 when Prima Capital was acquired by Envestnet.

Prior to joining Prima Capital in 2010, Mr. Rais was a Senior Analyst at Clayton Fixed Income Services in Denver, CO, where he was responsible for providing reporting and analysis on a number of private- and agency-issued mortgage-backed securities.

Mr. Rais holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Miami University in Ohio. He also holds his Series 65, the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and is a member of the CAIA Association.

Russell Colburn, Vice President, Investment Specialist

Mr. Colburn serves as an investment specialist for all proprietary product lines as well as non-proprietary SMAs, Third Party Fund Strategist Portfolios, Mutual Funds, and ETFs. Additionally, he is responsible for consulting with financial advisors on asset allocation and investment manager selection for client portfolios. He offers investment insight as a liaison for the PMC Investment Research team and investment guidance to advisors to help them determine the appropriate portfolio strategies for their high net worth clients.

Prior to this position, Mr. Colburn performed due diligence on all approved large-cap growth, international bond, and inflation-protected products on the Envestnet platform. He has also served as a relationship manager with Envestnet where he performed due diligence on all third-party mutual fund and exchange-traded fund strategist relationships under contract with the firm.

Mr. Colburn holds a BS degree in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and an MBA in Finance and Derivative Markets from Loyola University. Mr. Colburn holds the Series 65 advisor registration and is currently a Chartered Market Technician Level II candidate.

Regan Ryan, Vice President, Investment Specialist

Mr. Ryan serves as an investment specialist and is responsible for providing analytical and research assistance to the Envestnet | PMC Consulting team. Additionally, he offers investment guidance to advisors to help them determine the appropriate portfolio strategies for their clients.

Before joining PMC in April 2010, Mr. Ryan worked for five years as a senior trader on the Envestnet trading desk. Prior to that, he worked as an equity trader at Great Point Capital, beginning in 2003.

Mr. Ryan holds a BS degree in Finance and an MBA from Purdue University. He also holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 55, and 63 securities licenses and the Series 65 investment advisor registration.

Brett Wayman, Vice President, Investment Specialist

Brett Wayman

Mr. Wayman serves as an investment specialist and is responsible for consulting with financial advisors on asset allocation and investment manager selection. He acts as a liaison for the PMC Research Team to help advisors determine the appropriate portfolio strategies for their clients.

Prior to joining PMC in 2015, Mr. Wayman was Managing Director for Ponte Capital and previously served as Research Director for Stelac Advisory Services, Senior Investment Analyst for Clearbrook Partners, and Associate Director for ThomasLloyd’s global asset management business.

Tanner C. Howard, CFA, AVP, Institutional Consultant

Tanner Howard

Tanner Howard, CFA, serves as an Institutional Consultant for Envestnet | PMC. Within this role, Mr. Howard acts as a liaison for Envestnet | PMC’s enterprise and RIA clientele via PMC’s Premium Research and CIO Support Services offering. Mr. Howard works to create custom wealth management solutions for his clients, leveraging off of PMC’s Portfolio Management and Research capabilities.

Prior to joining Envestnet in April 2014, Mr. Howard worked as an Operations Specialist for Brown Brothers Harriman. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from The Colorado College. Mr. Howard also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.

Alan Kreuzberger, CFA, AVP, Investment Specialist

Alan Kreuzberger

Mr. Kreuzberger serves as an investment specialist and is responsible for consulting with financial advisors on asset allocation and investment manager selection for client portfolios. He offers investment insight as a liaison for the Envestnet | PMC (PMC) investment research team and provides investment guidance to advisors to help them determine the appropriate portfolio strategies for their clients.

Prior to joining PMC in 2013, Mr. Kreuzberger worked at Fidelity Investments and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as a financial advisor. He started his career in the investment management business at Adelante Capital Management.

Mr. Kreuzberger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Arizona. He holds a FINRA Series 7 and 66 registered as a securities agent and investment advisor and is a CFA charter holder.

Monique Harake, Portfolio Strategy Consultant

Ms. Harake serves as an investment specialist and is responsible for consulting with financial advisors on asset allocation and investment manager selection for client portfolios. She offers investment insight as a liaison for the Envestnet | PMC Research Team to help advisors determine the appropriate portfolio strategies for their clients.
 
Prior to joining PMC, Ms. Harake worked at Applied Medical as an Instructional Designer specializing in projects relating to statistics, engineering, and information technology.
 
Ms. Harake received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University in Economics, minoring in Mathematics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science. She is a CFA Level 1 candidate.

Jeremy Dziedzina, Associate Institutional Consultant

Jeremy Dziedzina serves as an Associate Institutional Consultant for Envestnet|PMC.  Mr. Dziedzina provides relationship, analytical and technical support to the Institutional Consulting team and its clients.

Prior to joining Envestnet in January 2015, Mr. Dziedzina worked at Curian Capital as a Portfolio Management Analyst, helping in the management of Curian Capital’s separate account strategies and fund strategist portfolios. He started his career in investment management at RDA Financial Network.

Mr. Dziedzina holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Iowa. He also holds the FINRA Series 63 securities license.

Jeremy Soister, Associate Institutional Consultant

Jeremy Soister serves as an Associate Institutional Consultant for Envestnet | PMC.  In this role, Mr. Soister provides relationship, analytical and technical support to the Institutional Consulting team and its clients.  

Prior to joining Envestnet in December 2014, Mr. Soister worked as a Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Classical Civilizations as well as a Master’s Degree in Early Modern European History from Fordham University.  Mr. Soister is a Level II Candidate in the CFA program.

Portfolios

Brandon Thomas, Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Thomas is responsible for all aspects of PMC's investment management and research capabilities. Primary among those responsibilities include the development of PMC's investment policy, implementation of the firm's investment management and research offerings, and the development of new investment products, including alternative investment strategies. Mr. Thomas is a member of the PMC Management Committee and also serves on PMC’s Investment Committee.

Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Mr. Thomas was Director of Equity Funds for The John Nuveen Company. For five years, Mr. Thomas was responsible for managing the firm's equity fund activities and served on the firm's New Products Committee. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager with a Chicago-based money manager, and started his career as a securities analyst with a Wall Street investment management firm.

Mr. Thomas received an AB in Economics from Brown University, an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago, and a JD from DePaul University. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 securities registrations and the Series 65 investment advisor registration.

Greg Classen, CFA, Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager

Greg Classen, CFA, is a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager at Envestnet | PMC. He joined the firm in December 2011 and is lead portfolio manager for the enterprise solution programs. Prior to joining the firm, he was Director of Research at FundQuest, and was responsible for the research of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, variable annuities, and offshore funds as well as the management of client assets.

Mr. Classen has over 15 years of industry and investment management experience. He holds a BA in Economics from Williams College and is a CFA charterholder.

Don Frerichs, CFA, Senior Vice President, Director Portfolio Management

Don Frerichs serves as lead portfolio manager for Envestnet | PMC’s discretionary managed mutual fund programs and is responsible for developing their asset allocation methodology. He serves on PMC’s Investment Committee and is a member of PMC’s Management Committee. He has been with the firm since 1993, starting with Portfolio Management Consultants (PMC) prior to its acquisition by Envestnet.

Prior to joining PMC, Mr. Frerichs served as a financial analyst with IPC, Inc., a California financial planning firm, from 1989 through 1993. He received a BS degree in Finance from California State University and is a CFA charterholder.

Dale Rottschafer, CFA, Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager

Ms. Rottschafer has worked in the investment management business for over 20 years. She was a portfolio manager to high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients within the Private Asset Management division at US Bank. She served as a Due Diligence Analyst and as an Investment Officer at Envestnet Asset Management, where she gained extensive operational and investment experience in a platform environment. At Envestnet she worked extensively with separately managed accounts and advisors to high-net-worth clients.

Ms. Rottschafer was a founding partner at Metamorphosis Money Management (M3) where her responsibilities included portfolio management, tax management, and managing the firm’s proprietary quantitative trading technology. M3 was acquired by Envestnet in 2010.

Ms. Rottschafer has assumed the role of Senior Portfolio Manager for Envestnet | PMC where she is responsible for managing the firm’s Quantitative Portfolios and for providing portfolio management oversight to accounts utilizing Envestnet’s tax overlay services.

Ms. Rottschafer holds an MBA from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Ryan Tagal, Director of Product Management, Envestnet | PMC

Ryan Tagal is the Director of Product Management at Envestnet ৷PMC (PMC). In this role, he oversees all product management and development for PMC’s suite of product and service offerings. This includes product oversight of PMC’s managed portfolios, consulting, and research offerings. He also participates in the overall leadership and management of PMC, from a strategic positioning standpoint.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Tagal was a Vice President of Product Management for Envestnet’s Product Group, overseeing product ownership for areas of the Envestnet platform relating to Envestnet's separately managed account program and manager research. Mr. Tagal also acted as the Associate Portfolio Manager for PMC’s Paradigm Liquid Alternatives Portfolios and continues to serve on the firm’s liquid alternatives group. He was a key member in the development of Envestnet’s classification and portfolio construction framework for mutual funds that employ alternative investment strategies.

Prior to joining Envestnet, Mr. Tagal led Morningstar’s hedge fund initiative. In this role, he oversaw the development of Morningstar’s hedge fund database, associated product development, and related research and methodology. Before that, Mr. Tagal was the Director of Quantitative Research at Cerulli Associates where he initiated Cerulli’s research in managed accounts, alternative investment products, and hedge funds in the mid‐1990’s.

Mr. Tagal has frequently been quoted in financial publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and BusinessWeek as an expert in emerging trends in the hedge fund and managed account industries. He holds an SB in Physics from MIT and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School.

Tim Murphy, Vice President, Portfolio Manager

Tim Murphy

Tim Murphy is a Vice President, Portfolio Manager at Envestnet | PMC. He has been with the firm for over six years, re-joining in January 2014 as a portfolio manager for the Enterprise Portfolio Solutions team. In addition to the Enterprise Portfolios, Mr. Murphy manages the PMC ActivePassive Portfolios, blending active management with low-cost passive strategies. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a Research Analyst for Securities Finance Trust covering the banking sector and global capital markets. Mr. Murphy worked at FundQuest, for five years prior to its acquisition by Envestnet, as an Investment Analyst and Head Trader, and was responsible for the research and due diligence of mutual fund managers and exchange-traded funds, as well as the management of client assets.

Mr. Murphy possesses over 10 years of industry and investment management experience. He received an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University and a BA in Political Science from Bridgewater State University.

Sonila Gjata, CFA, Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager

Sonila Gjata, CFA, is an Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager at Envestnet | PMC.  She is a member of the Enterprise Portfolio Solutions team and is responsible for asset allocation, manager selection, research due diligence, and portfolio administration for multiple portfolios managed by PMC.

Prior to joining the firm in October 2016, Sonila was an Investment Officer with BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s Charitable Solutions group. In this role, she managed the planned giving portfolios of over 20 charitable organizations, including elite colleges and universities. Prior to that, she served as a Senior Investment Analyst for Equity Resource Investments, LLC, where she oversaw all aspects of the firm’s investment activity in illiquid securities.

Sonila has over 10 years of industry and investment management experience. She holds a BS degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Parma, Italy, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Sonila is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the CFA Institute.

Ali Caffery, Associate Portfolio Manager

Ms. Caffery is an Associate Portfolio Manager for Envestnet | PMC’s Enterprise Solution and Foundation & Endowment programs. Ms. Caffery joined Envestnet in June 2012. Her responsibilities include asset allocation, manager selection and due diligence, and portfolio administration for multiple portfolios managed by PMC. Prior to her current role, Ms. Caffery created and launched several strategic initiatives for Envestnet including an Endowment & Foundations program, a series of institutional portfolios, and a Donor Advised Fund.

Ms. Caffery received a BSBA in Finance and Business Management from the University of Denver and has earned the Global Financial Steward designation.

Scott Keller, Associate Portfolio Manager

Scott Keller is an Associate Portfolio Manager at Envestnet | PMC. He is a member of the Enterprise Portfolio Solutions team and is responsible for asset allocation, manager selection, research due diligence, and portfolio administration for multiple portfolios managed by PMC. Prior to joining Envestnet in August 2015, Mr. Keller worked at State Street Bank and Trust as a Custody Associate where he was responsible for the trading and reporting operations for a variety of hedge funds.

Mr. Keller holds a BS in Economics from Brigham Young University – Idaho, and graduated from Bentley University where he earned a Master of Science in Finance. Additionally, he is pursuing the CFA Charter, having passed level I in 2014.

Janis Zvingelis, PhD, CFA, Senior Vice President, Director of Quantitative Research

As Head of PMC’s Quantitative Research Group, Mr. Zvingelis is responsible for leading PMC's research efforts involving quantitative finance, such as capital market forecasts, asset allocation strategies, portfolio implementation, and tax optimization. He brings knowledge of a variety of quantitative and statistical techniques to the analysis of financial research projects. Mr. Zvingelis is a member of both the PMC and Envestnet Retirement Solutions Investment Committees.

Prior to joining Envestnet Asset Management, Mr. Zvingelis was a research consultant with Mesirow Financial and Ibbotson Associates. He earned his PhD in Finance from The University of Iowa. He also holds a MA degree in Economics/Econometrics and an MSc degree in statistics, both from the University of Iowa as well as an MSc in Financial Mathematics from The University of Chicago. Mr. Zvingelis obtained his BA degree summa cum laude in Economics from Central College in Pella, Iowa. He has written and published several research papers in finance and theoretical statistics. Mr. Zvingelis is a CFA Charterholder.

Jianan Du, Quantitative Research Associate

Mr. Du works on a wide variety of quantitative finance projects, such as manager performance persistence, performance attribution, ETF evaluation, Socially Responsible manager performance, and yield simulation. He uses his experience in quantitative finance, statistics, mathematics, and programming to propose and implement project solutions.

Mr. Du holds a Master’s in Mathematical Finance (MMF) degree from Illinois Institute of Technology. He holds a BS degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China. He is a Level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program.

Yinsi Qi, Quantitative Research Associate

As a Quantitative Research Associate of PMC’s Quantitative Research Group, Mr. Qi is responsible for producing empirical research involving tracking error as well as tax management of index funds. He implements quantitatively advanced algorithms using optimization methods and statistical research.

Before working for Envestnet Asset Management, Mr. Qi served as a Research Assistant in New China Life Insurance Co., Ltd, China.

Mr. Qi earned an MA degree in Mathematical Finance at Illinois Institute of Technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and applied math from Peking University, China. He is a Level III candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program, and is also pursuing the designation of Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

Manogna Bobbala, Quantitative Research Analyst

Ms. Bobbala is an Quantitative Research Analyst for the PMC Quantitative Research Group. She is expected to earn a Master’s degree in Mathematical Finance (MMF) at Illinois Institute of Technology in May 2016. She holds a Master of Science in Mathematics (Minor in Physics), and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Trivandrum, India.
